What to expect
Lead Talent acknowledge and agree that any personal data that we handle, will beprocessed in accordance with all applicable data protection laws in force. Currently,the Data Protection Act 1998 applies. With effect from 25 May 2018, the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) comes into force, which will change the law. Please note for the purpose of this Privacy Statement, Lead Talent is a management consultancy business and therefore, we not only offer a recruitment service, but business strategy & training services. We therefore deal with Candidates, Business Clients and Clients.
- Candidate – A person involved in the recruitment process.
- Business Client – A person involved with our business services.
- Client – A prospective employer to the Candidate.
The information we may collect
The information about you we may collect, hold and process is set out below:

- Telephone Number – mobile & home
- Date of Birth
- Copy of Passport
- NI Number
- Current Salary/Desired Salary
- CV/Work history
- Details on your job preference
- Whether you have a criminal record. Information limited to Yes or No only
- Full details of job offers and placements
- A record of our communication via email
- E-mail Address
As a Candidate, the above information will be provided by you or a third party, who we work with, such as a job board Company or another employment business. As a Business Client/Client, the above information will be provided by you, a third party such as Social Media Platforms, or a recommendation.
How we use the information
As a Candidate, the above information is used to provide our services to you in our capacity as an employment business, to find you suitable work, based on your requirements as set out below. The information you have provided, may be used for the following:
- Match your skill sets with job vacancies to assist in finding you the positions most
suited to you.
- Present your details to our Clients and prospective employers for you to be
considered for vacancies.
- Place you with our Clients and prospective employers
- Keep you informed of available opportunities as they arise
- Communicate Lead Talent services to you
- Establish that you have the right to work
How we hold the information
All personal data we hold is stored on our database, Google Dropbox and Gmail.
Disclosure of your information
As a Candidate, your CV and related information will be shared or sent to our Clients. Once you have secured a placement, additional information will be provided to them to enable the placement to proceed. Such employers and clients will usually be located inside the European Economic Area (EEA). Personal data shall not be transferred to a country or territory outside the EEA, unless that country/ territory ensures an adequate level of protection or the appropriate safeguarding, are in place for your rights and freedoms. Should such a transfer takes place outside of the EEA, we will provide you with further information concerning this. For some placements our Clients require a dimensions test for our Candidates. In this case we will forward your full name, email address & Company you have been presented to, to Spark HR, to carryout the dimensions test. The dimensions test will be held by, Spark HR, Lead Talent and our Client.
What is the legal basis for processing the information?
As a Candidate we rely on your consent to process the information above, which is collected at the outset of the recruitment process, for Legitimate Interests in finding you the right position.
Information and documentation to establish your right to work is processed by us, as we are legally obliged to do so. Once a placement has been secured, we may also process your data on the basis of our legitimate interests i.e. for administrative purposes.
As a Business Client/Client we rely on your consent, for legitimate interests, before we can offer/communicate our business services to you.
You currently have the right at any time to ask for a copy of the information about you that we hold. In addition to this right of access, you also have the following rights: erasure, rectification, restricted processing, objection and data portability.
Retention of your data
Your data will be retained for a maximum of 6 years, for the purposes of our services that we offer. We will NOT at anytime forward your information to a 3rd party marketing organisation, in a marketing capacity.
Withdrawal of consent
If you have provided us with your consent to process your data, for the purpose of using our services, you have the right to withdraw this at any time. In order to do so you should contact us by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Please quote your full name and home/business address so may identify your records.
If you have a concern about the way we are collecting or using your personal data, you should raise your concern with us in the first instance. If you do not receive a satisfactory response you can contact the Information Commissioners Office at Ico.org.uk.

Changes to the Privacy Statement
This Privacy Statement may be amended, by us at any time. This Privacy Statement will be updated in due course to comply with the further requirements under the GDPR.
